Rune Labs: Using Data Analytics and the Apple Watch to Manage Parkinson’s. In this video we speak with COO and CFO of Rune Labs Swati Reichmuth. Rune Labs is a data analytics company focused on neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson’s. They have developed software called StrivePD that uses the Apple Watch to detect tremors and dyskinesia in people with Parkinson’s. The app provides a graphical representation of tremors and dyskinesia over time, allowing users to better manage their symptoms and have informed discussions with their physicians. The app also tracks other activities like exercise, sleep, and heart rate, providing a holistic view of the disease. The use of consumer devices like the Apple Watch makes this technology more accessible and convenient for patients. The future of wearable technology in the treatment of Parkinson’s holds great potential for better life management and the integration of AI.
